Lakewood Programs - Indoor 2021-22


Lakewood will be offering Mini and Youth, Recreational, Competitive and Performance Programming

All COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted and soccer will be returning to normal for this indoor season. The indoor season will run from October 2021 until late March 2022

Lakewood will be offering the following programs this indoor season:

Program Descriptions:

LAKEWOOD Mini Program - U7/U9 Boys and Girls Development - players born 2013 to 2016

  • Cost for playing U7-D will be $275 and for U9-D will be $400.
  • U7-D and U9-D will play 1 game per week and train 1-2 times per week.
    • U7-D game day will be Sunday and will train Tuesday and/or Saturday.
    • U9-DG game day will be Thursday and will train Tuesday and/or Saturday/Sunday.
    • U9-DB game day will be Wednesday and will train Thursday and/or Saturday/Sunday.
  • U7D will play 4v4 and U9D will play 5v5 game formats.
  • Training is focused on individual player development and creating a fun environment for learning soccer and developing a love for the game.
  • Training will be run by Lakewood Technical Staff with help from the Team coaches.
  • All games/training will be held at Saskatoon Sports Centre indoor turf or hard court fields and/or the Henk Ruys Soccer Centre.

LAKEWOOD Youth Program - U11 Boys and Girls - players born 2011 to 2012 - Alliance Leagues

  • Cost for playing U11 will be $700.
  • U11 will have 1 game plus train 2 days per week, all at the soccer centres. One training session will be a technical practice and the other will be a team practice.
  • U11 will play 6v6 soccer on a ¼ field format.
  • Game day will be Monday for Alliance A boys and Tuesday for Alliance B boys.
  • Game day will be Thursday for Alliance A girls and Wednesday for Alliance B girls.
  • Training days will be Saturday/Sunday.
  • All training will be run by Lakewood Technical Staff and helped by team volunteer coaches.
  • All training will be held at Saskatoon Soccer Centre indoor turf or hard court fields.

LAKEWOOD Youth Program - U13 Boys and Girls - players born 2009 to 2010 - Alliance Leagues

  • Cost for playing U13 will be $700.
  • U13 will have 1 game plus train 2 days per week, all at the soccer centres. One training session will be a technical practice and the other will be a team practice.
  • U13 will play 6v6 soccer on a ¼ field format.
  • Game day will be Wednesday for Alliance A boys and Tuesday for Alliance B boys.

  • U17/U19 will have 1 game plus train 2 days per week, all at the soccer centres. One training session will be a technical practice and the other will be a team practice.
  • U17/U19 will play 9v9 soccer on a ½ field format.
  • Game day will be Wednesday for U17 boys and Thursday for U19 boys.
  • Game day will be Thursday for U17 girls and Monday for U19 girls.
  • Training days will be Saturday/Sunday.
  • All training will be run by Lakewood Technical Staff and helped by team volunteer coaches.
  • All training will be held at Saskatoon Soccer Centre indoor turf or hard court fields.

LAKEWOOD Youth Program - U11 to U19 Boys and Girls - players born 2003 to 2012 - City Leagues

  • Cost for playing in the City League will be $300.
  • All City League games will be 6v6 soccer on a ¼ field indoor turf format.
  • Game day will be Friday for all City League games.
  • There will be no training as part of the City League, but players are invited to register for the Lakewood Soccer School if they want some training.

1 game each week = City League

1 game plus 1 practice each week = City League plus Lakewood Soccer School

1 game plus 2 practices each week = Alliance League

1 game plus 3 practices each week = Alliance League plus Lakewood Soccer School

Lakewood Performance Program will be available for some players in place of the Lakewood Soccer School

 

 

LAKEWOOD Soccer School (LSS)

Lakewood will be running a soccer school option for all Lakewood players this indoor season.

  • WHEN: Weekly sessions either Saturday/Sunday
  • WHERE: All sessions will be held at Saskatoon Soccer Centre indoor turf or hard court fields.
  • WHO: LSS will be open for all Lakewood players U11 to U19.
  • WHY: Purpose of the school is to offer a developmental opportunity for ALL players with sessions run by the Lakewood Technical Staff. Focus of the school will be basic to intermediate soccer skills development, in an environment of learning and fun! Goal will be of helping players become more technically efficient, and better, more productive team players!
  • COST: The cost of the LSS will be $300 for 18 training sessions (October to March)

LAKEWOOD Performance Program (LPP)

All Lakewood Players that have been previously evaluated and placed on Alliance A teams or players that have shown the desire, skill and commitment will be invited to be part of the Lakewood Performance Program (LPP).

The program will offer smaller intense group training and will be in an environment with players of similar age and maturation in order to continue training and developing under the focus of a team first philosophy.

Lakewood is able to offer this program under the guidance and direction of a growing technical team that includes some of the highest certified and experienced coaches in the province!

The program purpose is to better develop players not only on their individual capabilities and skills but also on how to be a better player in a team environment, game understanding, focus and preparing them for future opportunities and challenges that the game of soccer could lead to. 

The cost of the LPP will be $300 for 18 training sessions (October to March).

LAKEWOOD Provincial Soccer League 2022 (PSL)

Lakewood Soccer plans to enter U13 teams into the Provincial Soccer League (PSL) for the 2022 Outdoor Season. The PSL season starts in late May and goes until late July. U15 and U17 PSL teams will be entered under the Saskatoon Alliance. Details will be available in early January 2022.
