The Lakewood Keeper Academy is designed to hone the skills and abilities of aspiring soccer goalkeepers. The Academy offers a unique and immersive experience for goalkeepers of all ages and skill levels. With a dedicated team of experienced coaches and a strong emphasis on individualized instruction, the Lakewood Keeper Academy provides the perfect environment for goalkeepers to elevate their game.

At the Lakewood Keeper Academy, participants can expect a comprehensive curriculum that covers all aspects of goalkeeping. From mastering the fundamentals of shot-stopping and positioning to developing advanced techniques like distribution and commanding the penalty area, our Academy ensures that goalkeepers leave with a well-rounded skill set. The coaches employs innovative training methods and provide constructive feedback to help goalkeepers reach their full potential.

The Lakewood Keeper Academy is open to Keepers from all divisional levels and age groups from U9 to U17. Each Academy grouping will be designed with age specific skill development that is both challenging and fun. All the registrants must be registered with Saskatoon Youth Soccer (SYSI) or another Saskatchewan Soccer Member Organization.

Select the "Goalkeeper Academy" package**

Location: Saskatoon Sports Centre, 150 Nelson Road on turf field

Times: All training will run for one hour from 7:15-8:15 AM

Dates: 14 total sessions

• U9 and U11 players (Saturdays)
  • October 26, November 2, November 9, November 16, November 23, November 30, December 7, December 14, January 18, January 25, February 1, February 22, March 1, March 8
• U13, U15 and U17 players (Sundays)
  • October 27, November 3, November 10, November 17, November 24, December 1, December 8, December 15, January 19, January 26, February 2, February 23, March 2, March 9

Included with your Academy registration is one in-game coaching session to be coordinated with your zone (or club) team. Head Coach Victor will attend a game and assist with pre-game prep, warm-ups, in-game coaching and post-game discussion.

Also included this year is an end-of-season report card detailing identified growth areas and noted improvements.
