Coaching Lakewood Soccer

Lakewood Soccer Philosophy:

Lakewood Soccer Association recognizes that Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Managers are volunteers who kindly give their time to make soccer an enjoyable and fun sport while helping kids develop as soccer players and to become responsible members of the community.

The Lakewood Soccer Association realizes that being a Coach, Assistant Coach or Manager may be scary for people unfamilar with soccer and supports the development of Coaches and Managers via the following activities or programs:

  • 100% reimbursement of fees for officially recognized coaching clinics/certification
  • The engagement of Lakewood Technical Head Coach and Staff. These are Provincially Certified Coaches who will work with team coaches during the season to develop their skills and enhance their knowledge.

Lakewood, with the assistance of the Lakewood Technical Staff will host coaching clinics at the start and throughout each season. Our Technical Staff will make time each month to run technical practices with coaches/teams. These technical practices are great opportunities for coaches to better their development as coaches as well as providing additional development opportunities for the players.

Thank you for volunteering as a Lakewood Soccer coach. Our success depends on your commitment to the development of youth soccer in our zone. Please remember, the more effort you put into your development as a coach, the more fun you and the players will have!
